| Good Food Michigan Egg In the Hole |
Ingredients
one slice of bread Mark's English Muffin Bread
one egg
butter or margarine
white truffle oil
tarragon leaves
salt
Instructions
1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
2. Cut a hole in the center of the bread, about 2" diameter.
3. Lightly butter both sides of the bread and the cutout.
4. Melt a small dab of butter in the center of the pan.
5. Center the bread in the pan and place the cutout to the side.
6. Crack the egg into the hole.
7. Cover and cook for about 2 minutes or until the bottom of the egg is set.
8. Flip.
9. Cook the reverse side until bread is toasted, the white is set and the yolk is still a bit runny.
10. Plate with the starting side up.
11. Drizzle a bit of white truffle on top, garnish with fresh tarragon leaves and season with salt to taste.
2. Season to taste with salt.
11. The cutout is for dipping into the yolk.
